Community Conversations

The Board of County Commissioners and Administration Want To Do A Better Job Communicating with Those We Serve!

Discussion Topics:

To hear a broad spectrum of issues that are important to you.

Economic and Community Development, Making our Community Better, and whatever you think is important!

What will make Arcadia/DeSoto a better place to Live, Work and Play?

Who Should Attend?

You!

Residents – Of all ages, backgrounds, and interests

Business Owners

Property Owners

Which Meeting Should I attend?  You should attend any one (or all) that you can make.  The three meeting dates in different areas are designed to make attendance accessible and to provide multiple opportunities to participate

Why Should I Attend?  As you well know, we are a diverse community, with different ideas and opinions.  Different things are important to different people, for different reasons.  We all know that the local governments can’t, and even shouldn’t, get involved in meeting everyone’s needs and desires, but there are a number of ways we can work together to evoke changes to make our community a better place.

The Community Conversations are a great way for your elected officials to gauge what is important to those they serve.  The information collected, and the priorities you put forth, will be compiled and presented to the County Commissioners, committees, and others.  If you are not there, or you choose not to voice your priorities, they cannot be captured!

I Have Different Issues I would like to Discuss

Come and tell us just that, if we know what those issues are and there is shared interest, we can work with you to schedule ongoing conversations to address your specific request.
