The Human Resources (HR) Department provides to all departments and employees of the Board of County Commissioners professional-level support, expertise, and consultative services for approximately 350 employees.  The department is currently staffed by two individuals. 

Our services encompass Employment Assistance (recruiting, screening, hiring, retention, processing, and orientation of full-time, part-time, other personal services [OPS] employees, and volunteers); Employee Relations (conflict resolution, performance improvement and evaluation, training and development, employee recognition and rewards, progressive discipline, grievance investigation and resolution, and discharge); Program Administration and Compliance (benefits, FLSA, FRS, ADA, ADEA, EEO, FMLA, HIPPA, Drug-free Workplace, Worker's Compensation, Random Drug and Alcohol testing, and EAP coordination); Policy and Procedure development and recommendation including the development and maintenance of the Board of County Commissioners' (BOCC's) Personnel Policies and Regulations; compensation, position classification, payroll and personnel data and records maintenance, retention, and destruction.
