About Purchasing

The Purchasing Division provides overall management and direction of the County's procurement functions in accordance with the legal authority established by Florida State Statute 287 and the County Procurement Policy.


The Purchasing team is dedicated to providing quality support to our customers, both internal and external. Our goal is to provide materials, goods and services at the best value, consistent with the quality needed to provide the very best service to the public while assuring the most efficient operation of County Government possible.


Our team aspires to remain flexible and innovative in our approach to purchasing, while upholding public trust by adhering to the highest level of professional and ethical standards.


We strive for continuous quality improvement through the development of programs based on best practices and alternative purchasing methods which promote cost savings and improve operational efficiency.


Our team recognizes the importance of good supplier relationships and will make every effort to: promote fair and equitable treatment of all vendors, to foster long-term supplier relationships, and to ensure transparency of the open and competitive procurement process.
