NOTICE OF MEETING


TO:  All agencies of local government and interested parties
FROM: Senator Bill Galvano, Chairman, DeSoto County Legislative Delegation
SUBJECT: DeSoto County Legislative Delegation Annual Meeting and Public Hearing
Senator Bill Galvano, District 26, announces the DeSoto County Legislative Delegation meeting will be held on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. in the DeSoto County Commissioner’s Chambers, on the first floor of the DeSoto County Courthouse Annex Building located at 201 East Oak Street in Arcadia, Florida.

If you would like to be placed on the agenda to speak, please contact Senator Bill Galvano’s Legislative Assistant, Kathy Galea at 941-741-3401 no later than noon on Thursday, September 24, 2015.  Five (5) copies of all handouts and other information for delegation members must be received by Senator Galvano’s district office at 1023 Manatee Ave. West, Ste. 201, Bradenton, FL 34205 by Thursday, September 24, 2015.  You may also choose to send your information electronically to galea.kathy@flsenate.gov.
Discussion of issues regarding local legislation for the 2016 Legislative Session will be held at this time. All proposals for local bills are expected to be presented at the hearing and must be drafted in bill form, accompanied by a Resolution from the local government supporting the proposed legislation. This information must be received by Senator Galvano’s district office by Thursday, September 24, 2015.

Individuals wishing to address the Delegation on local bills being considered should plan to attend the public hearing at the DeSoto County Court House Annex Building, located at 201 East Oak Street in Arcadia, Florida. Following the consideration of local bills, the public will be invited to address the Delegation on state issues that are of concern.
