Options

  • Down Payment Assistance - residents can purchase homes with down payment assistance - Have you been pre-approved for a mortgage loan with a bank or financial institution?  Is the price of the home $175,000 or less? Are you income eligible?  
  • Home Repairs - homes repaired for health and safety reasons
  • Home Repairs due to Hurricane Ian - You must own the house and it must be occupied.
  • Home Replacement -  Is your home unsafe to live in?  Have a home replaced with a concrete block structure to provide a safe and sanitary home.

About this Program

The Social Services Department administers housing projects such as the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funded by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation and the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded through the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO).

Under these housing programs, residents can purchase homes with down payment assistance; have homes repaired for health and safety reasons, and even have a home replaced with a concrete block structure to provide homeowners with a safe and sanitary home.
